Watercolor Portraits

Watercolor Portraits

I miss chasing wild toddlers down the beach and snuggling sweet babies in studio.  I miss sitting at my computer with a hot cup of coffee and editing all of the beautiful families that I capture day after day.  I really truly miss everything about my job.

Since I haven’t had new sessions to edit I’ve been spending some time taking online classes, reading tutorials, and practicing new techniques.  One fun little thing that I learned how to do over the course of last week was to turn images into watercolor portraits.  I started off just playing around with candid photos of my own kids, but loved the effect so much that I decided to try it out on some client images.

My favorite vendor for wall art is a small Mom and Pop shop out of The Netherlands called The Original Photoblocks.  Their products are handmade and the quality is amazing.  The have a few products that I think will pair beautifully with these watercolor portraits.

Images printed on 100% cotton paper with hand torn edges.

Brass hanging frame can be single or double sided.

Canvas rings can be done in a dark stain or natural. Also available in various circle sizes.
