The S Family | Jacksonville Lifestyle Photography

What exactly is lifestyle photography?  Different photographer’s often have different definitions for this style.  To me, it’s photographing people doing what they do on an everyday basis.  They just happen to maybe be wearing coordinating outfits, kids have their hair combed, Mom put on some make-up, the house is cleaned up….you get the drift.  It’s real, just polished up a bit.  I love doing lifestyle sessions especially when small kids are involved.  They’re in their element and their comfort zone.  I’m not telling them to sit here and smile (well, not too much).  I’m telling them to show me their room, read me their favorite book, introduce me to their most special toy.  This is when I feel like I get to see their real personalities and the relationships in the family just shine through.
